New Welfare Facilities for Historic Hampshire Farm

Philspace were delighted to assist Hampshire County Council with the modernisation of Manor Farm at Bursledon by supplying 2 brand new toilet units.

With the addition of a play barn and food kiosk within the farm, it was the perfect time to add additional welfare facilities too.  Along with a 4+2 toilet block, we supplied them with an 8’ unit with disabled access and baby changing facilities.

Manor Farm dates back to medieval times and many buildings and farm buildings have been added and restored over the years.

After falling into disrepair, the farm was purchased by Hampshire County Council in the 1970’s and extensive renovations were undertaken with the support of hardworking volunteers. In 1984, the site was opened to the public and offers an interesting insight into the lives of Victorian farm workers.

Visitors of all ages can experience farm animal interactions, indoor and outdoor play and learn about farm life in Victorian times.  There is a beautiful farmhouse to explore dating back to the 1400’s and is filled with historic objects plus a wartime cottage that has an old schoolroom with blackboards and slates.

Maybe on your visit to the wonderful Manor Farm, you will spot the Philspace name!
