As we head towards the Christmas and New Year break, we want to give you a clear heads-up on how things will run. If you’ve got site accommodation, welfare units, containers or storage with us, here’s what you need to know so you’re sorted before the festive period.

What’s Happening Over Christmas?

Our office closes at 2 pm on Wednesday, 24th December 2025 and re-opens at 07:30 on Friday, 2nd January 2026. During this period, our standard hire operations will also change.

During that period:

  • Hires will not be suspended (this stays in line with our terms & conditions and industry standards: equipment on site must remain throughout the project duration).
  • If you want your equipment collected before Christmas and re-delivered after the New Year, we can arrange that. Please note: we need instructions by 12 pm on Friday, 5th December 2025, and standard transport charges will apply.
  • If you notify us after that deadline, we’ll try to collect as soon as we can, but we cannot guarantee it will be before our Christmas shutdown.
  • Equipment that remains on-site during the holiday period is your responsibility. You must ensure it is insured and safeguarded.
  • Routine servicing is paused from 24th December 2025 through to 2nd January 2026.

Why We Do This

As you’ll know, Philspace is a family-run unit going back to 1975. Our tight-knit team works hard to uphold our strong reputation for supplying sites across the South of England, and this period of closure gives us time to reset, complete essential servicing and ensure we’re ready for your projects right at the start of 2026.

What You Should Do Now

  • Review your site-project timelines and decide whether you’ll shut down equipment or leave it on-site during the break.
  • If you opt for off-hire and collection before Christmas (and re-delivery after), let us know by 12 pm on Friday, 5th December.
  • If equipment stays on-site, check your insurance cover and make sure you reduce any risk of damage, theft, or weather issues over the holiday.
  • If you normally rely on our servicing schedule, note that routine servicing is paused for the holiday period, so plan accordingly.

A Big Thanks as we Wrap up 2025

We’d like to thank you all for your custom during 2025. It’s been a great year in which we’ve celebrated our 50th anniversary as a business, and have continued to build great relationships with businesses and communities across our area. As we look forward to 2026, we’re ready to support your next project with the same personal, can-do attitude that we’ve been known for since 1975.
