History. P G Engineering was formed in 1967 and became a limited company in 1975 when Peter & Nigel Philips' father, Gordon Philip, semi-retired from Rigfone Electrics Ltd, leaving the running of the company to Nigel and Peter. Gordon Philip required a hobby and started trading with a partner, selling and hiring ex-shipping containers for secure storage.
The potential in this business became apparent to the family who bought out the partner and became shareholders, making P G Engineering an entirely family run business. Nigel Philip, a fully qualified Electrician involved in the running of Rigfone, now worked full time in the container firm and started to expand it, with the financial backing of Rigfone Electrics Ltd.
Ten years later Nigel thought of a much more appropriate name, and on 30th January 1985 the company became known as Philspace Limited.

The result of experience, youth and enthusiasm is the Company you see today, based on the standards set by Gordon Philip.
